Marguerite Allen Forslund

January 10, 1921 - August 30, 2010

Marguerite Allen Forslund, age 89, a long-time resident of Richfield, passed away from this world and entered her heavenly home on Monday morning, August 30, 2010 due to complications of dementia and Parkinson's Disease. Preceded in death by her husband, J. Dean Forslund and brothers, Loyall, Ralph and Duane. Survived by children, Vicki Forslund and Rich (Deb) Forslund; granddaughter, Marie Forslund and special family friend, Denny Prescher.
Marguerite was born in Pepin, WI and was a life long lover of Pepin. She graduated from the University of WI-River Falls with a teaching degree, with minors in music and geography. She taught in the Minneapolis Public School System. She enjoyed her family, rosemaling, calligraphy, music, her pets and Minnesota Twins baseball. She always had a kind word for everyone, loved an engaging conversation and had an ever present curiosity for life and the people around her.
Many thanks to the loving staff at Edina Care Center (3 South) who provided Marguerite with dignity, compassion and excellent care including Lenni, Shonta, Jenny, Kristina, David, Foday, Dorine, Kathryn, Kristen, Pama, Bob and Megan.

Funeral Information

Service Friday (SEPTEMBER 10th) at 12:00 Noon at the Ft. Snelling Chapel, Hwys. 5 & 55 (Exit Bloomington Rd and follow signs). Family will greet friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
