Allen Elmer Linderwell, age 83, of Richfield. Born in Lamont, Iowa September 5, 1932. Passed away on March 26, 2016. Survived by wife, Mary (Nystrom) Linderwell; two children, Michele (Timothy) Waldorf and Michael (Michele Daly) Linderwell; three grandchildren, Sarah Linderwell, Michael and Andrew Waldorf; sister, Maisie (Carl) Janssen, of IA; brother, Dean (Jeanne Amen) Linderwell, of MI; and sister-in-law, Esther (Howard) Linderwell of IN. Preceded in death by father, Otto Frank Linderwell and mother, Laura Blanche (Lantern) Linderwell, of IA; two brothers, Lloyd Otto Linderwell who died in infancy, and Howard Linderwell of IN. Graduated High School in Lamont, IA in 1950. Entered Military service November 5, 1952 during the Korean War. Basic training was at Ft. Sill, OK, then on to Berlin, Germany, discharged October 1954. Graduated Medical Tech school. Started working for Northwestern Bell Telephone, retiring May 1, 1992 after 37 years. Allen has been busy with handyman jobs, woodworking projects, gardening, hunting and fishing and was an avid clock collector. The last few years he was in a leather workshop. He was a member of Richfield American Legion Post #435 for 56 years.
