Donna Mae Kaye-Welk

Donna Mae Kaye-Welk, age 93, of Bloomington MN passed peacefully on April 4th 2025. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Amelia Taplin; husbands, Robert Kaye and Alvin Welk and son, Michael. She is survived by sons, Stephen (Diane), David (Michele), Christopher (Amy) and Matthew (Dawn). Niece, Kathy Smith and grandchildren, Andrea Kaye, Kayla Kaye, Elizabeth Schmitz, Tristan, Taylor, Emily and Samantha Kaye as well as great-grandchild, Fiona Schmitz.

Donna was born on August 9th 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During her working career Donna worked as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Administrator of the Metropolitan Transit Commission. She served many years as a dedicated and well-respected member of the management team. In her spare time, she loved flowers, gardening and spending time with family.

Relative to her family, Donna and Robert had five sons and Donna was the “hub of the wheel” that through good times and bad, served as the constant that held the family together. She possessed a strength that left many of us in awe. She was an amazing woman and will be missed deeply.
