July 17, 1939 - November 1, 2025
Daniel Joseph “Dan” Kilpeck, age 86, of Plymouth, passed away November 1, 2025. He was born July 17, 1939 to Lawrence and Irene Kilpeck in upstate New York. He attended catholic grade school. Upon graduation, Dan joined the air force in 1962. After serving in Vietnam, Dan attended Paul Smith’s College and then worked for the Department of Agriculture.
Dan was a lover of all sports, but he especially loved golf. At just 10 years old, Dan would start caddying for the golfers in his area. As he grew older, summers were spent living in a caddy shack on the golf course, as he got paid to caddy during the day, and they would play for free in the evenings after the courses were clear. Golf continued to be his favorite hobby, earning him 2 holes in one in his lifetime. He could be found, in jeans (no matter the season), on the golf course 4 to 5 times per week.
Dan was a devout Catholic, who would always sit in the back corner, 15 minutes early, and could be found sneaking out at the beginning of the last song. He loved to serve the church, and also found great meaning in volunteering at the VA and the IOCP food shelf.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Judy; brother, Larry (Judy); and many nieces, nephews and step family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Eugene.
