Cousin Dave
I love you and miss you. One of my first memories of you is when I ended up with sliver in my finger. It happened at one of our Family Picnics. You asked to look at it, then of course someone shouted that you wanted to cut my finger off (family, haha). I stared crying and you said it will be okay. You found a tree and sat with your back to it, and I sat on your lap. You took out your pocketknife and showed that it would not cut off my finger. you removed the sliver. we sat there for a while just looking up at the sky and clouds. Thank you for that beautiful memory .
I love you,Beth
I was a member of the University Skydivers, invited to join by Dave, jumping in Monticello, MN, at the time. How I miss those days and your humor. Remember “Swede” in the saloon in town where we would adjourn for the evening? Dave was always the center of it all, jumping and the evening. We shared a few stories after USD, but college, work, and our respective marriages called. School and work turned out well for us, but the other, not so much. Goodbye, old friend.
