Agnes E. Becker

Agnes Elaine Becker, passed away in her sleep at the age of 95,on February 12, 2026. She was born on Jan. 4, 1931 in Wenatchee, WA and moved to MN when she was 17. She graduated from Augsburg College where she met her husband, The Rev. Louis Becker. They were married for 69 years. Agnes served alongside Louis doing missionary work in Brazil, as well as assisting him on many other ministry events upon the return to the US. She was a long-time active member of Oak Grove Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteering in the children's library for 20+ years. She loved her family, cooking, baking, singing hymns and watching old time westerns. She was preceded in death by husband, Louis; son-in-law, Mike Maassen; brother, Andrew Thompson and his first wife, Paulette, and brother David Thompson. She is survived by children, Arlin Becker, Liane Maassen, Anita (Bill) Vossmeyer, Luiza (Greg) Peterson, Lucas Becker (Marilyn Jacobson) and Alona (Blair) Bjerkeset; sister-in-law, Marie-Anne Thompson and sister-in-law, Carol Thompson; grandchildren, Caleb, Samuel and Elisha Bjerkeset, Sydney Schons, E. J. Becker, Grace Becker, Abbie Becker, Christy Burns, Lily Peterson, Kelsey Maassen and Sara Bennett; great-grandchildren, William Burns and Logan Becker; and nieces and nephews.
