August 25, 1936 - April 6, 2026
Walter Stanley Wronski, age 89, of Richfield, passed away April 6, 2026.
Walter was born on August 25, 1936, to Joan and Stanley. A quiet and gentle soul, he began working for the Burlington Northern Railroad at just 16 years old. When the company relocated its offices to Minnesota, Walter moved with them. He made Minnesota his home for the next 25 years, where he truly found joy and a sense of belonging. He was especially active in his residential community and took great pride in being involved in the building where he lived.
The family would like to thank Karen for being such a great friend to him. She checked on him daily which gave the family comfort. The family would also like to thank Patty, the building coordinator, and Melinda, the receptionist, for also watching out for him. The three of these ladies were like extended family.
Walter is survived by his sister, Lillian Wronski; nieces, Susan Chacon and Wendy Wronski; and nephews, Frank Gilson and Russell Wronski and many other loving extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John (Penny) Wronski and sister, Helen (Frank) Gilson.
