Adedayo 'Seun' Olubajo - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

May 30, 1976 - November 28, 2022

Adedayo 'Seun' Olubajo, age 46, of Brooklyn Park, passed away on November 28, 2022.

Seun was born to Prince Daniel Olubajo and Omoyosola Adeniyi in Lagos, Nigeria. Both parents were from Ogun state. His father from the Ijebu Ipara area, and his mother from Imushin area. Seun was baptized at the age of 5 at the Methodist Church at Ipara Remo in 1986.

Seun began his education in Lagos Nigeria attending the primary school Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim (Shillo), then the Vetland Grammar School. For secondary school he attended Muslim Progressive High School in Egbado, in Ogun State. He took the West African Examinations for University in 1993, but instead of staying in Nigeria he decided to come to the US. He was very proud of his Nigerian culture, traditions, music, and Christian beliefs. He was also proud to be an American citizen, which he became on November 19, 2003.

He came to the US in 1995, and attended college for science and information technology. Seun has never stopped his education in the information technology field because he loves learning new skills and programming to be an excellent software engineer. His last place of employment was Revspring, where he was part of a very supportive team.

Seun married Natasha Hughes, and together they raised Tatiana Adekemi, and Nadiya Demilade in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He loves spending time with his wife and daughters and taking them on family trips. Seun also enjoyed every holiday with his extended family, chopping Nigerian food and enjoying the company of loved ones. We can not forget to mention his unlikely friendship with Rosa, our beloved Shorkie.

Besides his love of IT and anything connected to the newest technology he loved learning new things and trying new hobbies. He has played soccer, been on a bowling team, took karate and golf classes. He loves to have fun with his friends whether it is watching football (American or the real one). He was a huge Arsenal and Vikings fan which brought him both joy and pain.

Seun is preceded in death by his father Daniel. He is survived by his mother, Omoyosola; wife, Natasha; daughters, Tatiana and Nadiya; siblings Santos, Yemi, Funke, Ronke and many loved nieces and nephews.

  35. Natasha Olubajo (his wife) says:

Thank you all the loving and thoughtful comments. Seun will be greatly mourned and missed.

To all of his friends and family in Nigeria:

He missed his country and all of you dearly. Sometimes the girls and I watch Nollywood movies. There were times Seun would watch, but sometimes it made him too homesick that he couldn’t watch with us. He had made plans to come home but then COVID hit, and then his battle with cancer. I feel so sad he didn’t make it to Nigeria one last time. He also loved to watch Nigeria’s football team play whenever possible, and I’m positive he liked them way more than Arsenal.

Lastly, if I made mistakes of names of places etc. in his obituary I do apologize. I tried my best with limited knowledge.

God bless all of you in the mighty name of Jesus.

    ❤️✝️

  36. Tatiana Adekemi Olubajo says:

  37. Nicole Sheppard says:

My heart has been broken since hearing about Seun’s condition and then his passing on Monday. Seun was funny, a light-hearted jokester, joyful, and a loving husband to my dear friend, and kindred spirit Natasha, and fearlessly loving father to their girls Tati and Nadi. Since he became ill last summer, it has been difficult for all of you. I’m confident that the Lord is and will continue to keep you all in his grace. He is and will be missed greatly.

  38. Oluwole Akinyemi says:

Last born Oluwaseun Olubajo may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

  39. Ademolu Olubajo says:

GOD KNOWS BEST…Heavenly Father, even at this time of grief, I still have reason to thank You God for making PRINCE ADEDAYO OLUWASEUN OLUBAJO a dear and loving brother to me.
As, I write this, I am in tears; for you were supposed to be the “LAST MAN STANDING FOR US ALL”,….. “but God knows best”…..
It was really great to have seen you and talked/Visit with you during my last visit at the Methodist Hospital (2.5 weeks before your exit). We prayed together during my visit at the hospital and also over the phone. You were in high spirit and you were really a true warrior! Even with the pain that you were having and the situation you were going through, you still said, “YOU ARE OKAY”. ADEDAYO, in the pain, you still loved life and wanted to stay alive, you fought the battle, but God knows best…..
We cannot question God for this sudden exit.
From the book of John 11:25-26 Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die: and whoever lives, by believing in me will never die”. Your memories will forever live in my heart.
I LOVE YOU, BUT GOD LOVES YOU MORE!!!!
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord dear brother.

  40. Oluwafunmilayo Olubajo says:

    Uncle Seun, you lived!
As a true dear brother inlaw that you were to me, some of your good words still live….
Uncle Seun, you were outstanding! You were a true father to your children, a loving husband to your wife, a dearie son to your Parents, a remarkable brother to your siblings and a wonderful companion to your friends.
May all that you left behind continue to reveal God’s goodness in Jesus’ name.
From many of your good ways of life, one profound thing was your acknowledgment of having a relationship with God even while you were in the hospital. We believe this really matter to God and the very reason of existence….
With this, we believe that you are right there beside your Heavenly Father.
Continue to rest in peace uncle Seun Olubajo
