Adrian Monto Athey, age 92, of Richfield. Born June 3, 1925 in Jefferson, IA and passed away peacefully October 29, 2017. Survived by Carol his wife of 70 years; son, Robert; daughter, Deborah (Tim) Godfrey; grandchildren, James (Amy) Jorgensen, Andrew (Samantha) Godfrey, and Adria (Chris) Deutsch; great-grandchildren, Anthony. Mary and Landon; brother, Dennis; sister, Lorna Ponto; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Adrian was preceded in death by his father, Paul; mother, Carolyn; sisters, Naomi, Maxine and Lila and brother, Darryl.
The family extends a special thank you to Community Wellness, especially Ruth and Hilda.
Memorials are preferred and will be distributed in Adrian's memory by the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Adrian’s family. I will miss the twinkle in his eye and how he always made me feel loved. So many memories to keep him close.
Sincere sympathy to Adrian’s family. My father,(Uncle Dale to Adrian) thought so highly of Adrian. He oftentimes remarked what a good man, husband and great father he was. Dad & Mom always enjoyed his visits.
May God grant you peace, comfort and assurance that Adrian in his heavenly home as promised by God.
