Albina Delores Appel

Age 92, of Richfield. Albina was raised on a farm in Grenville, SD. She left at age 17 for Minneapolis where she completed Beauty School to become a Beauty Operator. Her ultimate calling was to become an LPN. After nursing school, she served at various hospitals in Minneapolis. She met and married her husband, Arthur and had over 60 years of marriage living in Richfield, Minnesota. Following the birth of her children, she set aside nursing to raise her children and run an in-home daycare until she retired. She enjoyed dancing, polka music, Lawrence Welk, shopping, mall walking with her husband, had a love for animals but most importantly her family. Survived by children, Cynthia, Kimberly (Dan) Carlson, Julie (Jeff) Duncan and John (Nancy); grandchildren, Alicia Zilka, April Guthrie, Ben (Laura) Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Alexa Densmore, Katie Duncan, Matthew Duncan and Mark Duncan; great- grandchildren, Mallory Carlson, Zayden Duncan and James Arthur Carlson; sister-in-law, Maxine Appel; and numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Arthur; sisters, Leocadia Singleton and Modesta Paszek.
