Beatrice L. Frankus (nee, Alvig)

Beatrice L. Frankus age 95 of Richfield. Born June 20, 1922 in Dovre Township, MN to Anna and Carl Alvig and passed away on December 8, 2017. Bea was raised on a farm by Norwegian parents and her mother who immigrated from Norway brought many traditions with her. This heritage influenced Bea throughout her life and she was proud to be 100% Norwegian. She moved to Minneapolis where she married and stayed the rest of her life. She loved Minnesota and did not care to live anywhere else. Family was the most important to her and she was dearly loved by them all. Preceded in death by daughter, Anne Melcher and siblings, Mildred Brandt and Gerald Alvig. Survived by her loving husband, Clifford; daughters, Nancy (Greg) Ward, Patricia (Charlie) Lowinske, Mary (Dan) Igoe; 8 grandchildren, David (Becca) Melcher, Scott (Melinda) Melcher, Shannon Ward, Michelle (John) Stern, Trevor Lowinske, Jake Lowinske, Keith (Kelli) Igoe, Michael (Jill) Igoe; 3 great-grandchildren, Nolan Melcher, Jack Igoe, Lucas Igoe; sister, Gladys (Clyde) Svobodny and son-in-law, Jim Melcher. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
