Betty Evarts - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

October 14, 1922 - June 16, 2015

Elizabeth Marianna "Betty" Evarts. 92 years old and proud of it! Preceded in death by loving husband, Kenneth; Swedish immigrant parents, Folke and Judith Gummeson; brothers, Axel and Roy Gummeson. Survived by sister, Norman; adoring children, Richard (Lin Brozovich) Evarts, Bryan (Susan) Evarts and Pamela (Mark) Roesler; cherished grandchildren, Kelly (Michael) Farber, Connor Evarts, Erin Roesler, Cody Roesler and the true lights of her life, great-granddaughters, Sophia Roesler and Brooklyn Farber; and by many nieces and nephews. Her great-granddaughters brought great joy to her after Ken's passing. Betty was a busy lady in her life! She stayed home and raised her 3 children (that she had within 2&1/2 years !), was a Brownie leader, Cub Scout den mother, active in Garden Club, ceramics, bowling, traveling the world, but her favorite was playing bridge. Betty supported her husband throughout their marriage in his career and hobbies, was a great cook and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We could all learn from how Betty lived with grace, patience and acceptance. We will all miss her greatly.

Memorials to American Cancer Society.
