It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cecilia Louise Sheehan, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, who passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 surrounded by family.
Cecil was a woman whose optimism, generosity, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, and her quick wit, contagious laughter, and lighthearted outlook on life brought comfort and happiness to family, friends, and all who knew her. Her kindness was genuine, her heart was generous, and she always found a way to brighten the lives of those around her.
Throughout her life, Cecil found great joy in the simple things she loved most. In her younger years, she cherished spending time with her horses and barrel racing. She loved traveling, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and, above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her legacy will live on through the countless memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, Joshua, Patrick, and Annie and by her cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Macie. Their lives, along with the lives of so many others, are richer because of her love.

Very sorry to hear of Cecil’s passing. I never knew we shared the same birthday 11/03.
I will always remember meeting her family and playing softball against her and her family. They were all great athletes and promptly routed the Sheehan Team with cousins…

I am so very sorry for your loss. Cecil was my sister, Bev’s, best friend from childhood on. They shared a love of horses and had many adventures together. I remember Cecil being around a lot. She and Bev traveled with my husband, Richard, and me to Hawaii several years ago. An awesome time was had by all and many memories were made……lots of fun and laughs. I remember Cecil being scared of encountering a shark in the ocean…….she never did thank goodness! Cecil loved her grandchildren beyond measure. She even cut her Hawaii trip a little short so she could get back in time to help Annie out with babysitting. She had a life well lived! ❤️
I am truly sorry for your loss. Cecil was the best. She loved you all so much. She was the best Supervisor and Friend. She will be missed by all.
Cecil and I go way back. I was 11 when I met her. We’ve always stayed in touch even when we both got married. We showed horses together. I also showed her horse when she was pregnant. We have had so much fun together.
We went to Vegas with my mother, and Cecil and her would play the penny machines for hours. As my sister, Wanda, stated regarding about going to Hawaii, her and her husband showed Cecil and I around like a private tour guide. It was so fun.
I just talked to Cecil about a month ago and I am so happy that I did. I am really going to miss her as she is a dear friend as I consider family.
