Daniel J. Hales, age 65, of Excelsior, passed away on December 29, 2022 with his family by his side. President of Hales Machine Tool Co. Preceded in death by father, Charles and infant sister, Patty. Survived by wife, Mary (Larsen); daughter, Anne (Scott) Nelson; son, Jeremy (Megan) Mess; 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; mother, Carol Hales; siblings, Pam (Randy) Mortenson, Sue (Chris) Halleran, Tim (Katie) Hales, Randy Hales and Julie (Dave) Monchamp; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    I will always remember your bright smile and laugh. I remember one time you were telling a story and were laughing so hard taking it we all couldn’t stop laughing. You always loved the water and going boating. I know the last couple years have been rough, we will miss you!!! I see you sitting back, having a beer and just smiling!!
