David Ericson - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

October 23, 1955 - April 16, 2013


David Lennart Ericson.   Beloved husband of Jennifer (nee Sanderson); loving father of Sarah, Eleanor, and Alexander.   Survived by father, Lennart; brother, Dean; sister, Jane; and cousins, nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by mother, Gloria.  Dave was born in 1955,  grew up in West Bloomington, and lived for many years on West 50th Street in Minneapolis where he died on April 16, 2013 surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with leukemia.  He is fondly remembered for his exceptional cooking and photography skills, and his love of the outdoors.  He devoted his time and energies to raising three children whom he cherished.

    I will always remember Dave as such a caring, gentle soul. He possessed a great knowledge, and his love of music & cooking was contagious when one was around him. I feel blessed to have so many memories with David and your family. He will be greatly missed by many.

    I have fond memories of swapping stories with Dave during neighborhood gatherings. Some of our tales were recent & others further back in our footloose, pre-kids days. He had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. I will miss his company. Condolences to Jennifer and your family during this time.
