Duane Wold was an inspiring teacher and mentor to those who taught with him at Richfield Junior High School. He brought optimism and energy that inspired students and young teachers like me. Duane led the way for teaching students research and writing that guided them for future challenges. When I think of teachers who made a difference, Duane Wold is at the top of that list. I wish the family condolences.

    Dear Shirley and Family,

As an age mate and former Cotton Hall resident, Duane has a special place in my heart. Our time together was an important dimension of our four years at St Could State. We survived, graduated and went on to serve. God bless you all.

I am terribly sad to hear about Duane’s passing. I shared many positive experiences with him during the seven years we worked together at East Junior High in Richfield. Duane was always a caring and vibrant person. Duane always cared about both the students and the staff at East Junior High. I will always remember Duane for allowing me to store my bike in his shed on the days I biked to East Junior High. My best wishes to Shirley, Scott and Lee.
