Johnson, Eric D. of Minneapolis, MN, passed away July 15, 2021 after a prolonged illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Johnson; his parents, Douglas and Carol Johnson and sister, Naomi Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Erica Breeden and family; his siblings, Elizabeth Groth, Jon and Jeffrey Johnson. He is also survived by five nieces, one nephew, numerous extended family members and special friends, Paul and Mindy Ashner. He finally gave up the flip phone for a smartphone in the last few years.

A family graveside burial will be held Friday, August 13 at 11 AM at Norseland Lutheran Church, St. Peter, MN followed by a Celebration of Life at the Knights of Columbus, 1114 American Boulevard West from 3-7pm.

Eric loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting with his friends. "Lord, I love the great outdoors, enjoying this great world of yours, thank you for the fields and streams, because they're every hunter's dream.”

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eric can be made to: Fishing Has No Boundaries Brainerd Chapter. PO BOX 748, Nisswa, MN 56468.

I have known Eric for over 20+ years working at Seagate. I always appreciated his work ethic and his candor. He always went the extra mile on doing what needed to be done and we always could count on him to fix any electro-mechanical problem that we were facing at the time.
