Esther Henry Hampton - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

March 10, 1951 - August 15, 2023

Esther Henry Hampton

Age 72, from Ford Heights, IL passed away peacefully in Minneapolis, MN with loved ones by his side on August 15, 2023. Henry was passionate about barbecuing, hunting/fishing, softball and his family. Henry loved to gather his family together by smoking a brisket, ribs or deep frying a turkey. If you were going to attend these barbecues you better be ready to sing and dance, you would always find Henry singing “Step in the Name of Love" by R. Kelly and dancing! 10 years ago Henry was given the news that he was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Despite all of the hurdles and challenges in Henry’s life you would still find a smile on his face and praising how grateful he was to live another day. He was the youngest of 7 siblings Winkie, Charles, Albert, Stella, Evelyn, Alleen. He is survived by his children, Alfonzso (Sarah), Vetti, Larry, Amber (Clem), Val, Natasha and RaHeim (Kaitlin); and grandchildren Bailey, Bishop, Mercedes, Mia, TaiJhaun, Nichelle, Andres, Clem, Raeanna, Alexia, Jazmyne, Kenny, ZyHeim and Linda.

My favorite uncle peewee is continuing to dance more. He was a great person and loved his family and the biggest cry baby of all. I will miss him dearly but I know he happy to be with all his loved ones. This is the final glue to family fun. Step on uncle. Love you your niece Mary ann.

No one will truly understand my dad and my relationship, to be honest I didn’t either. He was truly a different kind of man. I could go on and on about my dad and my relationship but I won’t, cause it wasn’t for anyones understanding. Dad we have had our smiles, laughs and a lot of tears, no worries‼️you’re finally at a peaceful rest and don’t have to worry about this place anymore. RIP DAD, love you
