Geraldine M. Ayers - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

March 7, 1928 - August 26, 2023

Geraldine M. Ayers, age 95 of Richfield, MN, went to be with her heavenly Father on August 26, 2023. Gerry often expressed that her family and her faith were her greatest blessings. Her sweet disposition, as well as her courage in all circumstances will continue to inspire her family and anyone who ever knew her.

Devoted and caring wife of 59 years to Orville who preceded her in death, and loving mother to children, Diane (Tom) Hipkins, Darcy (Gregg "Ole") Olson, Nancy (Brian) Hovila, Julie (Paul) Nielsen and Jeff (Susy) Ayers; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Deepest gratitude is extended to the staff at Nine Mile Creek Senior Living, Grace Hospice, and The Wealshire of Medina who provided Mom with excellent care, laughter, and compassion.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.

Paul & Julie: I have been thinking of you every day since I heard your mom passed. Praying for you and your family, she will be missed so much. She raised a wonderful family and taught them the values that are important in life. Now she has joined my mom and the others that have gone before her. I’m sure they are having a celebration in heaven.

Mrs. Ayres was my second mother as a toddler. Cheryl and I spent many days/nights breakfasts/lunches/dinners at the Ayres house with Darcy and Diane. She was always so kind and soft-spoken. Condolences to the Ayres family. I often and fondly think of your parents and those days.
