October 19, 1936 - March 31, 2026
Harriet A. Ellis, age 89, passed away March 31, 2026.
Harriet was born on October 19, 1936, in Waseca, Minnesota. She lived a life rooted in love, service, and deep devotion to the people and causes she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew, and her dearly loved sons, Jeffrey, David, and son-in-law, Rick.
Harriet is survived by her cherished children: daughter, Rhonda and son, Michael; her daughter-in-law, Twanika; and a family that brought her endless pride and joy — grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tracy), Katie (Michael), Emily (Adam), Brian (Kjellan), Alexander, and Zachary; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Mattea, Kellen, Rylan, Eva, Iris, Everett, and Audrey.
A lifetime member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, Harriet devoted much of her life to service and charitable work within her community. She gave generously of her time and heart, always believing in the importance of helping others.
Harriet had a special love for the things that told a story - antiquities, Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, bears, toy sewing machines, and music boxes. These collections reflected her appreciation for nostalgia, craftsmanship, and simple joys.
Above all else, Harriet’s greatest love was her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by “the whole gang,” especially her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love created a legacy that will live on in each of them. She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed beyond words.
