Joanne LaVonne Carlson
Age 86, of Bloomington. Welcomed into God’s loving arms on August 22nd. Retired from Holiday Store after 20+ years. Joanne’s loving smile and kind heart touched many lives. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Mildred Zieper; sister, Kaye Michels; brother, Jackie Zieper; and son-in-law, Douglas Fossen. Survived by beloved husband, Jack of 66 years; children and their spouses, Laura, David (Sharon), Evonne Fossen, Gloria (James) Wiese; grandchildren, Alicia (Felton) Williams, Shaundra (Adam) Sprecher, Paul (Katie) Fossen, Kyle (Molly) Fossen, LaVonne and Daniel Carlson, David (Kelly) Wiese, Robert Wiese; great-grandchildren, Felton, Marcell, JaVon, Rianna, Markus and Jayden Williams, Cole, Ella and Addy Sprecher, Olivia and Grace Fossen, Crosby Fossen; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Dear Carlson Family,
So sorry for your loss. Joanne was so kind to us, always. Although I was at the tail end of the clan – with all of our summer trips to Minnesota and staying at your cabin, I always felt close to her. We stayed in touch. Our last time together was 18 years ago but seems like yesterday! Her laugh just stays with me. It was a joy knowing her and of course , all of you.
We lost dad(Ivan) a few years back and can honestly share your emotions. I cried like I never knew I could cry. Still think of him daily as if he is right here with us. I know I will see dad again – and that gives me peace.
Please give Jack a huge hug from me. And lots of hugs to you guys too. Know that we’re all wish you in spirit.
