Joseph A. Schanen, age 91 of Bloomington. Retired from the City of Richfield-"49ers". Proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Lori and husband, Marvin Deane; and great-grandchild, Bailey. Survived by his daughter, Teri (Thomas) Halvorson and son, Dennis (Diane) Schanen; grandchildren, Michael, Dawn, Shannon, Adam and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Maxwell, Isabel, Kyle and Madison; as well as a sister, Alice Frith; other relatives and friends.
