Oh my beautiful sister-in-law! I am so saddened at losing you. I was so looking forward to you retiring & enjoying that time of your life, but I know you are happy now with your folks. That’s the only good thing about losing you. I know how much your mother meant to you. Be free & happy up there with all those who passed before you. We’ll miss you for a very long time. Hug my folks for me please!

Gary will always remember how excited Judy was when he came home on his first service leave just in time for Christmas! We also remember her walking down the aisle on our wedding day as a junior bridesmaid almost fifty years ago. Then, we watched her grow up & discover her career as a flight attendant. Oh the places she got to see & the many people that she met along the way was always interesting to hear about. What a shock it is to have you called home to our Lord & Savior so suddenly! We take comfort in our faith & the promise of His grace & mercy to all who believe in Him. Rest in heavenly peace-until we meet again-love, Gary & Jeanne

I am saddened by the passing of Judy. I, a retired flight attendant, worked with Judy at Northwest/Delta airlines. Judy had a great sense of humor and was a dear colleague. Judy and I had some wonderful trips together and we shared good conversations on our many layovers at cities in the USA as well as abroad. I’m so sorry that she left us so soon. She will be fondly remembered. My condolences to her family.

I’ve been friends with Judy my entire flying career and since retiring 10 years ago to England, we kept in touch often.. I had utmost respect, admiration and love for Judy, even on her grumpy days.. Her fun and witty side always made me laugh, and we laughed often.. Of all the people, I will miss you so much, Judy.. RIP.. Xoxo

    My First Best Friend

Somewhere is a picture of Judy and me next to each other in our baby strollers, to the side of the pine tree that was planted in my front yard the year we were born (just a couple months apart). We would race to Todd Park and climb to the top of the high bars just to hang out. We’d listen endlessly to 45 R.P.M. records. We enjoyed a kind of bitter lime frozen treat from the basement freezer (years later to find out it was really frozen daiquiri). I remember one morning waiting for the school bus at 61st and Park Judy thought she saw a deer. After we told her it was just big dog or something – then we all saw the deer running loose in Minneapolis. When Olsons moved to Eden Prairie and I missed my first best friend but would see her once in a blue moon. Rest in Peace Judy!

Judy was my very first friend at Eden Prairie High School and I so appreciated our friendship because I moved to the area when I was in 10th grade, and I didn’t know anyone. Judy and I also formed a circle of friends based on friendships we both had in Minneapolis and some of us even traveled together, with Judy, after high school. Somehow, Judy and I lost touch with each other and although it has probably been almost 40 years since I last saw her, I was very saddened to hear Judy has passed at such a young age. This weekend I looked at pictures of me and Judy and our friends hanging out and having fun and it brought back fond memories of how much I enjoyed my friendship with Judy. Rest In Peace old friend….

Dear Olson Family: I’m lifting you up in prayer at this difficult time. Judy was always so upbeat and positive. And funny! I’m sharing in your sadness, and I hope you feel surrounded by much love.
