LaVerna A. Schoephoerster age 88, of Richfield, passed away August 31, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer, with compassionate care from hospice staff and special friend, Carla Rogers. Preceded in death by parents, George & Ina Prellwitz; three brothers; one sister; two husbands, Alan S. and Gene Stavlo; one son, Michael Jon and two grandchildren, Kurt & Lonnie. Retired at age 83 after a full life of friendly retail customer service with a beautiful smile and a welcoming heart, who trusted in her Lord and loved life and her family and friends, with a special connection with angels.
Survived by son, Steven; daughter, Alanna Teragawa; daughters-in-law, Eileen, Rosemary, Julie, Karyatika; grandchildren, Barbara (Jennifer Perez), Erik (Delta) Mackdanz, Kristen (Travis) Norton, Gregory, Alan (Beth), Anna (Tommy) Doran, Todd Teragawa, Keri (Stephen) Higuera, Shane (Lyndsay) Teragawa; great-grandchildren, Honor, Michael, Claire, Max, Elise, Brennan, Walker, Trevor, Madison; sister, Audrey Ousman of Colorado; brothers, Rodney (Barbara) Prellwitz of Montana, Orvin (Lois) Prellwitz of California; many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held in Houston, TX Sep 10th; and Pueblo, Colorado Oct 8th. and locally in MN on Oct. 12th. Interment Grand-View Cemetery, Hopkins.

My thoughts and prayers for Laverna’s family and friends. I met Laverna many years ago and she immediately found a place in my heart. She will be forever missed.
Such a beautiful person, inside and out. It’s been a privilege to have her a part of our lives over the years. Always gentle, great sense of humor. She loved family and friends with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by many. Her memory and spirit lives on. She is now among the angels in heaven. Go in peace!
My heart goes out to all those who will miss and never forget LaVerna. How wonderful that she had such a positive impact on so many for 88 years! Celebrate her life!
