Lloyd O. Schatschneider, age 83 of Bloomington. Survived by wife, Lois; children, Lori (Peter) Coleman, Lee (Susan Peterson); grandchildren, Ginger, Sabine and Leo; sister, Dorene Johnson; and dear nieces and nephew. Preceding Lloyd in death were his parents, Bertha Ahrens and Ferdinand Schatschneider of Frazee, MN. Lloyd was a true family man. He loved spending time with family members near and far, travelng and visiting people with his wife, and chatting with old friends, as well as making new ones. Lloyd liked traveling, cooking and eating good food, spending time at the family cabin in Alexandria, MN and at the couple's second home in Mesa, AZ and supporting the activities and interests of his children and grandchildren. An Air Force veteran, Lloyd served his country for four years during the Korean War. A career accountant, Lloyd was involved in the Institute of Management accounting, serving as vice president for a multi-state region. He retired from Lerner Publications Company in 1995 after 25 years. He also served at his church as an usher and as chairman of several committees.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to RUMC or to Sharing and Caring Hands, 525 North 7th Street, Minneapolis MN 55405.
