I am so sorry to learn that we have lost Lynn! I have so many wonderful memories of her, times spent working with her half a century ago at Dayton’s; summer weekends at Outing; New Year’s Eves, with friends & family. Let us all hold close those memories. But share them with everyone: it’s a way of keeping her spirit with us. And remember, Matthias, and your family: your mom, your grandmother is with you, always. She is in you. You share her DNA!
Matthias,
Your mom was an amazing woman. She was a bonus mom and will be missed dearly. How lucky we all are that we got to know her, love her and be loved by her. Sending you, Leah and the boys love and hugs.
I worked at Abbott NW Hospital for a long time, and Lynn endured the not-so-glamorous position of nursing support coordinator. The scheduler. Of nurses and support staff. Uffda. And not just for one unit. Quite often she did the schedules for 3 or 4 units, and then covered for other NSCs who were on vacation or who called in sick or were out on extended leave. But wait, there’s more. Lynn taught new people how to do this job. It’s a tough job, and Lynn was a tough person. That said, every time that Lynn and I talked on the phone she was cheerful. And I sometimes went to her office to talk shop. I am retired now. My fondest memories of working at Abbott are those times when Lynn and I talked. Together we solved many of the world’s problems.
Lynn,
its with a somber mood to hear that you’ve gone ahead of us. for the time i knew, you presented the best of what commitment means and you were also available to team members ready and willing to lend help and offer support. you will be missed dearly.
Lynn always had a smile on her face, even in the last year, no matter how poorly she was feeling. We’ll miss seeing her at our family holiday gatherings where we had engaging conversations. She was a very sweet person and will truly be missed by all of us.
