Aunt Marion was the sweetest, kind and fun Aunt! We have wonderful memories of all the fun we had with her at Nancy lake. She was always game for anything! She loved pontoon rides and great conversations. She is now at peace and having fun in heaven with all of our loved ones that have gone before her. Love you Aunt Marion until we meet again ❤️

The matriarch of the Slovak, Evan family, my Aunt Marion Evan Baker, willingly accepted her position in life. She developed a system of love that all of her many friends and relatives wanted to receive more and more of, over her 96 years of Blessed life. Strength, wisdom, with an accepting heart describes Aunt Marion to me, however, she could give those things back, too, being the oldest. Why, you may ask? Aunt Marion had too!!! She was adoringly followed in birth by four of the most Slovak, shall we just say, rascally brothers!!! So endeared to Marion, with waited return, one or the other would say on sight, “They’re here. Here comes Jim and Marion!!!” Then the “activities” would begin. Then the matriarch training began. Yep. Marion endured my Father Joe, then Jake, Jerry, and Ben “Yoso, Yanno, Yatto, and Benno!!!

The love, laughter, and close bond exchanged between this generation of Slovaks continued all through their married lives.
I am grateful for the interests of Aunt Marion to have been passed down to my generation and on. The weekend gatherings after church, were nothing short of pure joy!!! FUN,!!! Grandma Anna Luptak Evan’s FOOD and desserts!!! Oh, the Christmas and Easter times that we enjoyed. For many of these wonderful years, Great Uncle Johnny Luptak and his family were part of the celebrations. Then the humor and “training” for Aunt Marion’s beautiful heart was really increased!!! These are some of my very, merry memories.of my extended Slovak family. Thank the Lord, I was there.

Aunt Marion.s love will always live on, .Aunt Marion and her matriarchal, “system” of love, if I may say it so, will always exist for those of us who have once met her. My many cousins and our many relatives, “rascals” that many of them are also, learned a beautiful way, from the leadership of our dear, recently departed, Aunt Marion, my Godmother. live in love, and finally, rest in God.

Hi Melanie – just happened to see your mom’s obituary and was so sad to see. She certainly lived a long wonderful life. After being neighbors for so many years, I miss your mom and dad so much and even think of your Gma Evan – I was so fortunate to know her and Jeff gave her the ride of her life in his work van going after Jesse. If you have a chance, please email me – I would love to chat further. Thinking of your and your family in this hard time – may your mom rest in peace forever. Joan jdoyle4455@comcast.net
