Marlene L. Studlien

Marlene L. Studlien, age 82, of New Hope and Bloomington. Marlene and fiance, Larry Holforty, passed into eternal life mid-June 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mina Studlien and sister, Joan Nelson. She is survived by sisters, LaVone Studlien and Karen Becker (Gerald); nieces and nephews, Laurie (Steven) Orlow, Denise (David) Eibel, Bruce (Hilary), Mark (Stefanie), and Joel (Liz) Nelson, Naomi and Timothy Becker. Born August 26, 1938 in Alexandria, MN, Marlene spent her early days in Hoffman, Rugby, ND, Detroit Lakes and Thief River Falls. She graduated from Richfield H.S. and Augsburg College, then taught at Litchfield, Robbinsdale and Cooper High Schools.
