Merlin Rudolf Zempel, age 86 of Minneapolis. Born on April 24, 1929 in Amboy, MN and died on June 18, 2015. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Member of Local 49 of the Operating Engineers for 55 year at Truck Crane Service Co. Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann; children, Rebecca Bogen, Brenda Zempel, Gregg Zempel, and Jani (Wayne) Anderson; grandchildren, Aran, Tabitha, Priscilla, Andre, Brandon, Alisha, Cameron, Dana and Grant; many great-grandchildren.
