Paul E. Olson

Paul E. Olson, age 97 of Richfield, died November 23, 2023.

Paul was born and raised in South Minneapolis. He attended Roosevelt High School. He enlisted in the US Navy in World War II and was assigned to operate landing craft. He married Janet Fischer on Dec 29, 1960, and they remained beloved soulmates for 60 years until her passing in 2020. They were blessed with the birth of their son, Douglas, in 1964, who will miss both of his parents dearly. Paul was a long term employee for Hauenstein & Burmeister, an elevator company, working well into his 70’s. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed helping others, collecting clocks. fixing things, and creating custom furniture pieces for the home.

Preceded in death by his wife, Janet; parents, Edwin and Hilda Olson; siblings, John, Conrad, Eleanor, Donald, Josephine and Linda. Survived by son, Doug; many nieces and nephews; and beloved cat “The Boss.”
