Raymond A. Grinde - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

Raymond A. Grinde, 92, of Roseville, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 27, 2024. He was born on October 20,1931 to Roy and Alice Grinde in Estherville, IA. Survived by sons, Steven (Kathy) and Scott (Kathy); grandchildren, Anders (Jacquie) Grinde, Kjersten (Ian) Timoney, Eric (Michelle) Grinde, Kelsey Grinde (Zack Meyer) and Erika Grinde; great-grandchildren, Jared, Ray and Betsy Grinde, Leena Timoney and Penelope Grinde; sister, Gloria Larson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by loving wife of 65 years, Jan; parents, Roy and Alice Grinde; brother, Lloyd; sisters, Shirley and Vera; and grandchild, baby boy Grinde.
Ray served in the Korean War and was a graduate of Augsburg College. He and Jan were married in 1956 and raised their family in Roseville where he was an active member of Roseville Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Ray had a long and distinguished career as Assistant Treasurer and Secretary at West Publishing Company.
After retiring he served on the Augsburg College Board of Regents. His passions included attending his grandchildren's events and playing golf both in MN and at his winter residence in Naples, FL.
