She was proceeded in death by parents, Lloyd and Genevieve Parker; and husband, Harley Witte.

RomaLee and Harley met at Faribault HS in 1953. Started dating in 1957 and were married May 31, 1958 at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault. They lived in Richfield, MN from 1961-2014 before moving to The Fountain’s at Hosanna! in Lakeville, MN. Thank you to the wonderful assisted living staff at The Fountain’s for their love and care.

She graduated from Mankato State with an elementary teaching degree and worked for 40 years as a second-grade teacher. Thirty-seven of those years was with the Osseo School District. Some of her students went on to earn PhD’s, become doctors and lawyers, and one a MN Twins player, Tim Laudner who played on the 1987 World Series team. She bragged about that often.

RomaLee and Harley enjoyed winter travel to Ft. Walton Beach with their friends for many years. Walks on the beach looking for shells and having family visits in FL always brought a smile to her face. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, sewing, needle point and crocheting. Teaching her family these skills as well. She donated hundreds of crocheted lap blankets to care facilities.

RomaLee was surrounded by her loving family when she crossed over to eternal life with our Lord. She was a long-time member of Woodlake Lutheran Church in Richfield. Thanks to Minnesota Hospice for their care during her transition time.

Memorials may be given to Twin Cities Honor Flights or the Arthritis Foundation.

Your mom was such an amazing person, always smiling and happy to see Tom and I whenever there were family functions going on. I’m so glad we got to see her one last time in her apartment. She loved all of you so very much. Love you Romalee.
