Ruth Nordholm, age 84, passed away peacefully on Feb. 10, 2021, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She was born July 19, 1936, and grew up in Finley, ND. She married Verne Nordholm on Aug. 15, 1959. She lived in Richfield, MN for most of her life. Ruth worked in the Richfield Public Schools for many years as a secretary and a librarian. She loved to sew, knit, make handmade cards and bake. She was very involved with the church. She traveled often with her family either to the family cabin or other places in the US. She made her dream come true by cruising to Alaska with her family. Ruth also liked to make Norwegian foods including lefse, lutefisk, krumkake, and flatbread. Survived by husband, Verne; daughter, LeAnn (Patrick) Oberstar; son, Craig; grandchildren, Samantha Oberstar, Parker Oberstar, Breanna (Ryan) Wienk and Brett Brusse. Preceded in death by parents, William and Martha Ask and daughter-in-law, Lisa Nordholm.
A private service will be held for immediate family.
Memorials preferred to House of Prayer Lutheran Church foundation.
