Stanley Remeneski - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

August 31, 1919 - August 12, 2014


Stanley John Remeneski "Stan", age 94, of  Shakopee, formerly of Richfield, passed away at home on August 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 56 years, Aline (Sutkowski); parents, Rudolph and Stella Remeneski; brother, Edward Remmens; sister, Jeanette Olson ( Remeneski), and son-in-law, Rick Finkelstein. He will be missed by his children, daughter, Carole Caria, of Los Angeles, CA; son, Michael Remeneski, of Bloomington, MN and son, Philip Remeneski, of Richfield, MN; granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole Finkelstein, Los Angeles, CA and Erin Lane, of Ann Arbor, MI, and many relatives and friends. Born in Minneapolis, MN on August 31, 1919. He graduated from Edison High School, then received a Bachelor's in Chemistry degree from the University of Minnesota. After ROTC completion, Stan served proudly in the United States Army as a Captain, 437th Battalion during WWII, working in counter intelligence and sabotage under General Patton. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW, and was an active volunteer for the Divine Mercy Chapter in Minnesota.

    My sympathies to the Remeneski family.
    I enjoyed Stan’s friendship immensely while employed by Finishing Equipment in the late 1960’s.
    Stan was one of three owners in that Company.

    I was sorry to see that your father (and your mother) passed away. You probably don’t remember me. We lived a few houses down from your family growing up in Richfield. It’s difficult losing our parents, no matter what age we are. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
