Thomas E. Johnson

Thomas E. Johnson age 97 of Bloomington formerly of Richfield. Tom was a WWII Army veteran who passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2017. He was an amazing man who loved to tell anyone who would listen his stories from the war or about how his Mom and Dad migrated to America from Norway He was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and being a charter member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield. Tom enjoyed the simple things in life and would talk often about how fortunate he was to have the life he lived. Most of all he loved to make everyone laugh. He was a wonderful Dad, Father-in-law, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Preceded in death by wife, Janet and son, Chris. Survived by children, Randy, Betsy Hanson (Jim), T.H., Tim (Trish), Mike (Gretchen), Shannon Souza (Joseph) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will all miss you so much. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
