November 15, 1988 - September 6, 2026
Travis James Hildebrandt, age 37, passed away on September 6, 2026. Travis was a son, brother, fiancé, father, uncle, grandson, and friend. He was a deeply loved man whose absence will be felt by so many who were fortunate enough to know him.
Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Hildebrandt, and his father, Harlan “Jim” Hildebrandt.
He is survived by his beloved brother, Clayton Hildebrandt; sister-in-law, Alli Hildebrandt and nephew, Harrison; his fiancé, Sam Henneman and their children, Charlotte Coleman and James Hildebrandt; and his grandfather, Roger Johnson, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who loved him dearly.
Travis graduated from Richfield high school in 2007. He spent the majority of his childhood in Richfield with his mother, Angela, and his brother, Clayton, and also spent part of his childhood in Glencoe with his father, Jim. After graduating high school, Travis answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served from 2007 to 2017. During his service, he worked in air traffic control, radar technology, Martial Arts Instructor and as a recruiter. His dedication and service to his country were an important part of his life. Among his military honors were the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Meritorious Master Expert Rifle Qualification Badge and the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon.
One of the greatest joys in Travis’s life was his family. He loved spending time with Sam and their two children and was incredibly proud of the mother Sam is to them. He looked forward to the day he would proudly call Sam his wife. He treasured showing his kids the ways of the world, the simple moments of playing catch, going to the park, laughing together, and simply being their dad. His children were a source of immense love and pride in his life.
Travis shared a particularly deep bond with his brother, Clayton. After losing both of their parents, the brothers were there for one another through some of the hardest moments of their lives. They leaned on each other, supported one another, and got through it together. Travis was so incredibly proud of his brothers sobriety and the strength it took to build the life he was building for himself and his family. He was proud of the man Clayton had become and the future he was creating. Their brotherhood was a bond that could never be replaced.
Travis had a naturally curious, creative, and inventive mind. He loved playing video games and spending hours in his woodshop building and creating things. He enjoyed figuring out how things worked and, more importantly, figuring out how to make them better. His career reflected that same part of him. Travis worked as an Aerospace Robotics Field Service Engineer, where he could do what came naturally to him: solve, build, and create.
Travis also had a love for history and travel. He especially enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and loved learning about and talking about World War II. He could become completely absorbed in a conversation about history, sharing what he knew and the things that fascinated him.
Travis will be remembered for his brilliant and creative mind, his love of building and solving things, his curiosity about the world, his passion for history, and most of all, the love he had for his family.
He will be remembered in the laughter of his children, in the things he built with his own hands, in the stories shared about him, and in the memories of every person whose life he touched.
Travis’s life was far too short, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with his family forever.
He was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed. And he will never be forgotten

Travis will always have a place in our hearts. He will be missed
Travis was a great neighbor. He always was there to help if asked and was patient with all the kids around him. Only rule, you can not go into the garage. Even though we moved, we stayed in touch.
