Marjory "Sand" Jean Hovelsrud, age 88, of Edina, Minnesota passed away peacefully November 21, 2014. Preceded in death by beloved husband, John O. Hovelsrud; parents, Harold and Florence Sandquist; and brother, Arthur Sandquist. Survived by brother, Ralph (Lois) Sandquist of Richfield; daughter, Jean (Ed) Getz of Mendota Heights; son, John P (Mary) Hovelsrud of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Kelsey (Preston) Kackman, Bailey Hovelsrud, Kelly Hovelsrud, extended family, and good friends.
Sand loved to read mystery novels, watch CNN for the latest news, sip a scotch and water before dinner, bake cookies, watch the birds, shop for old china at estate sales, and travel with her beloved Hovie. She loved to talk about her granddaughters to anyone who called or visited.

We will miss you, Sand.
