Timothy Dieter Godfrey age 69 was born Oct. 4, 1952 in Germany and passed away on Feb. 12, 2022 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Elwood and Alice Godfrey; father-in-law, Adrian Athey and his beloved dog, Gizmoe. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah (nee, Athey) Godfrey; children, James (Amy) Jorgensen of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Ann (John) Chambers of San Diego, CA, Andrew (Samantha) Godfrey of Blaine, MN, Adria (Chris) Deutsch of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren, Anthony, Mary, Landon, Emma, Gia, Adrian, and Zeah; sisters, Connie (Kent) Clark of Denver, CO and Patty Godfrey of Belleville, IL; mother-in-law, Carol Athey of Richfield, MN; brother-in-law, Robert Athey of Richfield, MN; nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and beloved coworkers at Fairview Riverside Emergency Room.
Tim had the gift of gab and never met a stranger who he couldn’t or wouldn’t talk to! He loved fishing and spending weekends at the lake up north. He spent 30 years working at Fairview Riverside Hospital.

I worked with Tim on and off for several years. He was always quick to greet me and have a chat. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed.
I worked with Tim for many years at Riverside. He loved his co-workers and talking!! He talked lovingly about his wife and family. I wish he could of had the long retirement he was looking forward to. Rest In Peace Tim!❤️
