April 28, 1947 - April 14, 2025
Joanne, E. Smith age 77 of Eagan, formerly of Richfield passed away on April 14, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her parents, Betty and Willis Shimp. She is survived by her children, Matthew (Michelle) Smith and Melissa (Jason) Miller; her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jordan; and her brother, David Shimp.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.
Joanne was my neighbor and close friend. I thought of her as the older sister I never had. Her wit and wisdom will be missed, along with the caring friendship we shared! She touched the hearts of many and will be remembered fondly.
Joanne and I co-chaired a lunch group for retired people at Shepherd of the Valley. She was great to work with, and became a good friend. She loved her family, often relaying stories about her grandchildren. Our deepest sympathy to her family.
