From Finland: "A Finnish veteran of the Moon landing is gone. His Father, August Lindqvist, was born in Myllykyla, Kosken, TL. He moved to the USA with his brothers in 1910 to the state of Minnesota. In 1926, a son, Oiva Herbert, was born to him. His career led him to engineering education through military service. The family had two sons. Oiva got a job at the Honeywell Corporation. With the help of President Kennedy, the Moon Landing began, encouraged by the Cold War. Oiva's team's task was to design a lunar landing system. The end result: "Earth, The Eagle has landed." Oiva has published 3 memoirs in the last decade of his life. The last one last year. The Finnish space hero signed his last work. Oiva's motto, "Proud to be a Finn." Have a good trip, Oiva."

I have read two of Oiva’s books and purchased from Amazon copies of Moon Dreams for my son’s and grandson, all enthusiastic engineers of various stripes. We are all grateful to Oiva and his family for the gift of his precious memories. He was truly a man filled with fine character, love and grace. God bless him.
