I am so saddened to hear of Gene’s passing. He was a lovely man. I have many fond memories of singing with him in the Assumption choir. My prayers are with Dee and the family.

  2. Chuck Peterson says:

Gene was a great man. A father-in-law I was proud of and loved. We made each other laugh. We shared personal stories. He taught me how to play cards and we both cheated. He accepted me for me. He forgave me for my many short comings. He set a fantastic example of righteousness. His work ethic was top scale. I am a better man to have known him. To call him my friend was an honor and I am blessed in my life because of that. I will miss him. He left a positive impact in my life and isn’t that the greatest thing a person can do and leave in someone? Because of that impact…he’ll always be with me.

Delores my sympathy to you and your family. Carol helmer

  4. Please accept our sympathies. He was always so nice when I’d see him around town on my bike when I was growing up. He definitely was a special part of our Assumption Parish community.
