Bernadine A. Auchstetter "Bernie" age 92 died peacefully Friday, January 9, 2026 at Whitefish Senior Living in Crosslake, MN. Beloved wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. Born July 6, 1933 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Beatrice and Lee Pierce.
She graduated from Fairview Nursing School in 1955. Bernie was a dedicated nurse who touched the lives of countless patients. She was known for her caring and kind spirit, along with her strong faith. Bernie enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards and reading.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Arnie; brothers, Delbert and LeRoy. Survived by children, Steve, Paul and Ann (Larry); grandchildren, Sierra, Celine, Jason, Arielle and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Max, Melody and Effie; siblings, Janet, Donna, Danny and Paul along with other loving relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.

To Aunt Bernadine’s family
I wish I could be in attendance to celebrate my God Mothers celebration of her life and services. We shared birthday months with one being the 16th. I bet I received a birthday card from her well into adulthood. It was always something I looked forward to.
She lived a long life full of the people she loved most. God bless you Bernadine.
