His father was of Czech Republic descent, and his mother was of Scotch-Irish descent.
Frank served in the Korean War as a Battalion Clerk in an area about 15 miles south of the DMZ. Frank worked as a teacher for 25 years in the Minneapolis area. Following this, he worked a part-time security job that he loved and held for more than 23 years. Frank proudly proclaimed that his condo on the 12th floor of his building made him feel closer to God. It meant a lot to him to be very involved in his community. Frank loved nothing more than to spend his time on his daily walks, ballroom dancing, reading, and playing bridge.
Frank was laid to rest with his beloved son, Frank, at Lakewood Cemetery in a private service.
