Gordon Eugene Hanson Jr., age 62, of Bloomington, MN, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 17, 2026.
He was born in Minneapolis and was the Purchasing Manager at Rubber Specialties, Inc. where he worked for many years. Gordy loved his faithful cat, Jake. He was very active at the Richfield VFW Post 5555 and enjoyed his many friends as a second family as well as spending time with his own family.
He is survived by his brother, Steven (Cyndee) Hanson; sisters, Nancy (Glen) Forsberg and Janine (Jerald) Oberg, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon E. Hanson and Janette A. Sifferle; stepfather, Michael R. Sifferle and sister, Gwen E. Dolmar.

Duane and I were saddened to hear that Gordy passed.
Gordy was a dear friend beyond our Houlihan’s times. He got us through Covid by sending us a Bartenders Bible cocktail book, epic; when we transferred from MN to CO. We shared our cocktail photos in our dog-eared pages. He couldn’t be prouder saying he was with us.
Gordy made the best breakfast potatoes. To his pic football win this year, his Titanic bathroom menu, his note on his laptop saying don’t post on FB and the joyful moments he had with Jake and Sammie.
Gordz YOU will be missed!
