Melvyn A. Paguyo

Melvyn A. Paguyo, age 78, of Richfield, passed away on August 10, 2025 at his home.

Melvyn was born as the sixth of ten child to the late Federico and Matrona Paguyo in Quezon City, Philippines. He was educated with BS Architecture in Manuel L Quezon University in the Philippines.

Melvyn married Norma Paguyo and three children were born from this partnership. Melvyn moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his daughter and eldest son in 2000, and was quickly followed by Norma and the youngest son a few months later in 2001. He served his regular customers by giving them delight snacks and drinks at his corner store. He provided “cleanliness is orderliness” to the patients as an environmental custodian in different hospitals for many years.

Melvyn enjoyed collecting music and listening to a wide variety. He loves to tinker and build with electronics, construction, and bicycle. He adores giving and sharing stories to loved ones and colleagues as a selfless man.

Melvyn leaves to cherish his loving memory to his wife, Norma; three children, Norman, Christine, Mervin; daughter-in-law, Courtney; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Theo, Iyla; 6 siblings, Nelson, Eddie, Elmo, Robin, Lucy, and Ruth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Matrona; and 3 siblings Gloria, June, Dante.
