Robert Sarff of Richfield, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 10 at the age of 84. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, and his love for fishing.
Survived by his sons, Scott and Brian (Sheryl Bean); grandchildren, Tony, Nick, and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Dawson, Lucy, Riley, Charlie, and Chase.
Preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and parents, Robert and Zaitha.
Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

I met Bob in 1960 when I boarded the train in Mason City Iowa. We were on the way to enlist in the army. After training in Fort Hood Texas we were both sent to Germany. We spent the rest of our 3 year enlistment together there. We were then discharged at the same time in New York City. We returned home together in Bob’s new Volkswagen that he bought when we were in Germany.
In later years Ruth and I enjoyed visiting with Bob and Judy at their cabin in Alexandria and of course those visits included a lot of fishing.
We send our sincere sympathy to Brian, Scott and all the family.
