Theophilus Allen Schroeder
“Ted”
Age 83, formerly of Richfield/Long Prairie. Ted died of dementia on October 7. 2025. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Kaye, of 62 years, and his loving family.
He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1961. After serving his country in the Army, he began his lifelong career as a typewriter repairman. Following retirement, he moved to the log home he and his wife built on “the lake” for nearly 20 years. Ted was always busy and happiest when woodworking, fishing, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Above all, his greatest joy in life came from his four beloved grandchildren.
Survived by wife, Kaye (née, Borden) Schroeder; children, Brian (Pam) Schroeder and Kari Prescott; grandchildren, Callie (Tyler) Bisek, Cory Schroeder, Simon Prescott and Soren Prescott; sister-in-law, Rose Schroeder; brother-in-law, Paul Borden and sister-in-law, Judy Borden; and other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Theophilus "Ted" and Laura Schroeder; siblings, Chuck Schroeder and Bob Schroeder.

We were so very sorry to see that our dear friend and former favorite neighbor had passed away. He was one of the kindest people, funny and full of life. Our sincere condolences to all his family and friends. He will be sorely missed. May God send you peace and comfort all of you. ️️
