Bradley Charles Murgic (Brad) - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

Bradley Charles Murgic (Brad)

September 30, 1962 - June 10, 2023

Bradley Charles Murgic (Brad), age 60, of Hastings, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, less than 3 months after being diagnosed with cancer for the third time.

Born September 30, 1962 to Jean and Mike, he lived his school years in Rosemount, MN with his seven siblings and many neighborhood friends. Brad spent many of his summers with his maternal grandparents “on the farm,” where he developed his strong love of nature and the outdoors. He was particularly fond of fishing and camping and being “out in the woods.”

Strong-willed and stubborn at times, he was a self-described “lone wolf,” going so far as to have that tattooed on his left arm, but his circle of friends stands in direct opposition to this description. His admiration and love of wolves (and eagles) was apparent in many aspects of his life.

During his last months of life, Brad was able to enjoy several bonfires, and many McDonald’s strawberry shakes (large) brought by numerous friends and family.

Predeceased by his parents, Mike and Jean Murgic, and his cat, Sukie.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Schulz (Angelique) and daughter, Ashley Murgic; his siblings: Steve (Jean) Murgic, Kristin (Christopher) Boylan, Melanie (Andrew) Rupprecht, Jamie (Mike) Murgic, Peter Murgic, Shelley (Matt) Murgic and Christopher (Julie) Murgic; his favorite Aunt Bev Boutin, and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by very special friends: Greg Horjesi (aka Buckwheat), Brian and Stefanie Tilson, and Shirley
Randolph.

A memorial gathering is being planned for mid-July.

Memorials preferred to the International Wolf Center in Ely MN.

I had the privilege of being Brad’s home care nurse over the course of a decade plus. He had some tough medical issues during that time but he continued to push forward and give life his best shot!
Brad also had a gentle side to him and held his family, neighbors, friends , and his cat Suki in high regard. He will be deeply missed.
