Chet shared his faith with us on countless occasions breathing new life into all of us. Through Firestarters at the Amundson’s and his dedication to Tentmakers, Teen Challenge and Prison Ministries, Chet always shared the gospel, freely and openly, never preaching, just sharing the truth of Jesus’ love for us. Chet’s life of faith in action is a testament to what loving Jesus can do to a person and what He expects from all of us. Enjoy your well deserved new home, Chet!

Chet was a special friend. His connection and mentorship to our son, Nick, will always be treasured. He shared his love of Christ freely, and we enjoyed our many visits and conversations about faith, relationships and life. Chet’s commitment to faith in action is an example to us all.
Well done, good and faithful servant. We will miss you. The door has been swung wide open and the Lord welcomes you with open arms!

I was often inspired by Chet. His love for his Lord Jesus and for people from all kinds of backgrounds was outstanding. Add to that his hunger for growing deeper in the Word of God.

Two examples come to mind: his recitation of Romans 8 for memory at his 100th Birthday celebration, and his emailing me when he was in his 90s. “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

  6. Becky Davey says:

I met Chet once last year at the Union Gospel Mission with Larry Lotzer. I was there to give my testimony as a graduate of MN Adult & Teen Challenge. I was privileged to spend a couple of hours with him and hear him speak. God Bless his family!

Chet was a great mentor, friend and blessing to us and we take comfort in knowing that we will see him again. May God bless and protect all who were dear to him.
