Born at home in Balaton, Minn. on Feb. 11, 1935. Homegoing on April 10, 2017 at the age of 82. Accepted Christ at a tent meeting in Southwestern Minnesota. Survived by husband, Verland; children Vergene (Tom) Downs of Apple Valley, Minn., Brad (Kim Faurot) of Oak Park Heights, Minn., and Kathy of Madison, Wisc.; grandchildren, Jacob and Rebecca Downs; brother, Lenoy Rue of Balaton, Minn.; nephew, Mark Rue of Folkston, Ga.; like a sister, Eva Regeon of Pipestone, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

While we didn’t know Darline ourselves, we’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kathy for a number of years, and know that only a loving mother and wonderful person could’ve raised such kids. Our deepest condolences to the Kruse family.
